The Oklahoma 4-H Foundation supports high-quality, fun and educational 4-H programming to Oklahoma youth.
Support for
Officers & Ambassadors
The 4-H Foundation believes the Ambassador and State Council programs are integral components of 4-H, and strive to support and contribute heavily toward their success and projects.
The 4-H Ambassadors are outstanding 4-H members chosen to maintain relations with alumni and supporters, help members tell their 4-H story, and make 4-H more visible in the state of Oklahoma.
The State 4-H officers serve as role models for all members, act as a youth advisory committee to the state program and plan council-led events and activities.
Support for
Volunteers
Oklahoma 4-H depends on more than 4,000 volunteers annually to approximately 140,000 youth find success. Offering educational opportunities for volunteers is essential and one of our most critical needs.
Funds for program support and travel will allow more volunteers to attend events like the Southern Region 4-H Volunteer Forum, the State 4-H Volunteer Leader Conference and other specialized training to ensure the 4-H reaches its maximum reach and potential for youth.
Support for
State 4-H Roundup
Annually, more than 1,200 4-H members head to Oklahoma State University campus to experience a unique combination of educational programs, competitive events, motivational activities, leadership training, social interaction and recognition during State 4-H Roundup.
Annual contributions of more than $20,000 currently support member recognition and educational programs. Additional funds potentially are used to provide annual or endowed support to keep the cost of State 4-H Roundup as low as possible.
Support for
County Educators
The county Extension educators in Oklahoma continue to develop exciting and innovative educational programs. 4-H enhancement grants enhance their existing programs and stimulate the development of new programs that can expand our capacity to meet the educational needs of young people and volunteers.
Support for
National Trips
The Oklahoma 4-H Foundation is proud to provide support for several National 4-H Events. Oklahoma 4-H Members participate in several national trips annually including National 4-H Congress, Citizenship Washington Focus, National 4-H Conference and Denver Western Roundup. In January 2017, the 4-H Foundation supported the first Oklahoma 4-H members who attended the Presidential Inauguration. Continuing to provide financial support and travel scholarships to Oklahoma 4-H members to attend these national trips is a priority for the 4-H Foundation. The skills learned and life experiences obtained during these national youth development trips cannot be replicated and are life-changing for our Oklahoma 4-H members. If you have an interest in providing support for one of these national trips, please contact us directly.
