A Word from the President
Greetings!
The Oklahoma 4-H Foundation Board of Directors and staff extend our sincere gratitude to the many friends and supporters who helped make 2025 a highly successful year for the Foundation—and, most importantly, for our 4-H youth.
As we reflect on the generosity of our donors and partners, we are reminded of the enduring value of the 4-H program. Many of our supporters are 4-H alumni or parents of alumni who understand firsthand the profound impact of a 4-H experience. Time and again, they credit their professional success and community involvement to the lessons, leadership, and life skills gained through 4-H.
4-H mattered to the young person leading their first club meeting as president—and it matters now as that same individual presides over a company’s boardroom. It mattered to the 4-H member attending Citizenship Washington Focus, and it matters today as they serve our nation. It matters to the classroom of third graders whose exceptional teacher discovered a passion for education through presenting mini-roundup programs. And 4-H matters to all of us when we consider the lasting contributions past and present members make to our communities, our state, and our nation.
In 2025, the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation reached the third-highest year for total contributions in its history, surpassing $1,000,000. While this milestone echoes the success of 2024—formerly our third-highest year—it reflects continued trust and belief in our mission. The Foundation does not take your generosity lightly and remains intentional in using these funds to advance and strengthen the 4-H program today and for generations to come.
Recently, the National 4-H Council launched a bold nationwide initiative, “Beyond Ready”, aimed at increasing public awareness of the breadth and impact of 4-H. As part of this effort, Oklahoma has committed to raising $3.25 million by December 31, 2030. Every dollar raised by the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation remains in Oklahoma, helping ensure our youth are “Beyond Ready” to enter the workforce and contribute meaningfully to their communities. While we are making strong progress toward this goal, continued momentum depends on your charitable support. Additional information can be obtained from the “Beyond Ready” Campaign page to learn how you can prepare Oklahoma 4-H youth to be “Beyond Ready” while supporting the foundation’s mission.
Our Foundation Board members serve because 4-H matters deeply to them. We hope you will join us in strengthening the 4-H program so it continues to matter to an ever-growing number of young people. Together, we can ensure that we are all truly Beyond Ready.
